SPACE Producer Mark Askwith hosts an evening of comics!
First off, Jessica Abel will show slides from her graphic novel La Perdida, and discuss the background of this work about a young woman’s journey to Mexico City to find herself .
Matt Madden will then show slides from his book 99 Ways To Tell A Story, and discuss the influence of Raymond Queneau’s 1947 text Exercises in Style on the work.
Harvey Pekar, legendary creator of American Splendor, will then talk about his life and work with Mark Askwith.
