5/16/2007 Women of Comics (WOC) returns this year to once again showcase female talent and creativity in what has traditionally been a male-dominated industry. The WOC II symposium will feature signings, portfolio reviews and several panel discussions on women as storytellers and the unique perspective they bring to the art form.
Highlights of WOC II include the Simone/Scott Birds of Prey panel and the new Minx line of graphic novels from DC/Vertigo featuring The Plain Janes, written by Canadian Cecil Castellucci.
New this year is the WOC booth where attendees can purchase comic books, graphic novels and other merchandise by the WOC guests. Signings will be scheduled throughout Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10, so drop by the WOC booth often to get your favourite books signed as well as have a chat with our guests!
